The person who in the media has been called the "sports leader" was convicted in the district court for raping a child and a number of other sexual crimes against several young boys in Sundsvall.

The Court of Appeal, on the other hand, acquitted the man regarding the rape.

- It feels like a slap in the face, the parents say to the boy who is said to have been raped.

Long legal process

Their son was the first to report the man to the police, who both worked at the school and was a sports leader in the municipality.

He was followed by nearly ten other boys who had fallen victim to the same man.

In the district court, he was sentenced to four years and three months in prison - a sentence that was reduced to one year and six months in the Court of Appeal, after the higher court acquitted him of the rape.

Goes on trauma treatment

The boy, who was 13 years old when the rape allegedly took place, goes to trauma treatment once a week.

In the video, the parents tell how the family was affected by the incident.

Footnote: The Court of Appeal's judgment was appealed, but the Supreme Court has denied leave to appeal for rescission.
