The Pentagon said there is no reason to change the readiness status of US nuclear forces

This was stated by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.

“We monitor this every day, we saw no reason to change the approach to the use of strategic deterrence,” TASS reports.

Kirby also said that American howitzers would be delivered to Ukraine in the coming days.

As it became known earlier, the United States will transfer to Ukraine 200 M113 armored personnel carriers, 11 Mi-17 helicopters, 18 howitzers, 300 Switchblade loitering ammunition and 500 Javelin missiles.

At the same time, the United States will train the Armed Forces of Ukraine to handle American howitzers outside of Ukraine.
