Russia expels more than 30 European diplomats

Russia announced the expulsion of more than 30 diplomats from Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Austria, and said they were "persona non grata" in response to the expulsion of dozens of Russian diplomats.

And the Russian Foreign Ministry indicated today, Tuesday, that there are 15 diplomats from the Dutch embassy in Moscow alone, who are required to leave Russia within two weeks.

The Netherlands had earlier expelled 18 Russian diplomats over accusations of espionage and the Russian war on Ukraine.

The Russian authorities also demanded 12 Belgian embassy employees to leave the country, and the Russian authorities notified Luxembourg to expel one of its diplomats in Moscow in response to the expulsion of a Russian diplomat.

And the Russian authorities decided to expel four employees of the Austrian embassy in Moscow.
