In a message to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz affirmed Saudi Arabia's keenness on its firm position on the Palestinian issue, to establish the state of Palestine on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy.

The Algerian presidency said, in a statement, that Tebboune "received yesterday, Tuesday, the Saudi ambassador to Algeria, Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Busairi, who conveyed to him a message from his brother, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman."

The same source indicated that King Salman expressed to President Tebboune "feelings of brotherhood and affection", praising "the approach of consultation and coordination between the two brotherly countries", and expressing "his opinion regarding the unity of the Arab ranks, and joint work for the advancement of the Arab nation."
