It is reported that the Democratic Party has set up a policy to exclude former representative Song Young-gil and Rep. Park Ju-min, who have declared their candidacy for mayor of Seoul, from the nominations.

According to the Democratic Party and officials from each camp, the Central Party Strategic Nomination Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea held a closed meeting today (19th) to make a decision, and it is known that it was delivered to the candidate.

As soon as this news became known, the former CEO Song Young-gil issued a statement and immediately protested.

Former CEO Song said, "I hope that the non-captainer will make a wise decision regarding this nomination for mayor of Seoul." He warned, "This decision will be a self-harm that effectively abandons the June 1 local elections and destroys the Democratic Party."

Rep. Park Jumin replied, "I was not informed of such a fact. I will check."

Rep. Park was in the middle of the 1st subcommittee of the National Assembly Judiciary Committee's bill review to review the 'Inspection Completely Deprived of Prosecution's Investigation Rights, Prosecutor's Investigation-Separation of Prosecution Rights' today.

Earlier, the Democratic Party's Emergency Response Committee announced on the 13th that it would designate Seoul as a 'strategic constituency'.

For this reason, it is analyzed that the strategic nomination was in mind by excluding the existing candidates who had declared their candidacy for Seoul mayor (former CEO Song Young-gil, lawmaker Park Ju-min, former lawmaker Jeong Bong-ju, former lawmaker Kim Jin-ae, former Jeonnam Administrative Governor Kim Song-il, and lawyer Kim Ju-young). came out.

The main target for strategic nomination is Park Young-seon, former Minister of SMEs and Startups, who also ran for the Seoul mayor by-election on April 7 last year.

However, even if a decision is made at the level of the Central Party's Strategic Nomination Committee, there is still a possibility that the final decision will change as it has not been discussed in the Emergency Response Committee, the highest decision-making body.
