China News Service, April 19. According to the US "World Daily" report, the murderer of Mr. Han's family, a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner in Santa Barbara County, Southern California, was sentenced to death on April 15 (Friday). Three life sentences with no possibility of parole.

Prosecutors said the suspect, Pierre Haobsh, was sentenced by a Santa Barbara County judge to three life sentences, plus additional terms, for crimes involving the use of a firearm for financial gain to kill multiple victims.

He has been imprisoned for many years after his arrest, and has repeatedly denied killing, even though witness testimony and evidence are very strong.

Six years ago, on March 23, 2016, a French man, Harbus, fired 14 shots at the victim's home, brutally killing Mr. Han, a 57-year-old Chinese medicine practitioner, and his 29-year-old wife, Ms. Yu, and their five-year-old daughter. The three were tied up with tape and thrown in the garage.

After Harbus killed, 100,000 yuan was transferred from Dr. Han's bank account.

At 5:30 p.m. on March 23, 2016, the Holy County Police Department received a call. The first police officer to arrive at the scene, Brian Thielst, said that the complainant said that Dr. Han had disappeared after having dinner the day before, and that he missed a call on the morning of the 23rd. Important meeting, which is completely inconsistent with his usual punctual character.

Thielst said that the front door of Dr. Han's house was wide open at the time, but the garage door was closed. The police entered the house from the front door to search, and found a dead body wrapped in layers of white tape in the middle of the two parked cars. It was confirmed that it belonged to Dr. Han. His wife, and next to the car parked on the inner side, there were two bodies, one large and one small, both wrapped in the same way, which proved to be Dr. Han and his five-year-old daughter.

Officer Tulam Gutierrez said that when a Thousand Oaks whistleblower named Direda called the police department, he said that the suspect Harbus was a major suspect in the killing.

In their face-to-face conversations, Harbus and Direda bluntly stated that they had been to Doctor Han's house earlier on the day of the incident to discuss the project contract. After returning to Han's house for the second time, they shot and killed three members of the Han family and asked Direda how to deal with the remains.

Direda also said that in the exchange between the two, Harbus said bluntly that the murder was about the 20 million yuan deposit in Dr. Han's bank account.

At 12:00 a.m. on March 25, 2016, under the identification of multiple witnesses, the murderer Harbush was arrested in Bonshall, San Diego.

On March 28, 2016, Santa Barbara County Attorney General Joyce E. Dudley indicted Harbush with three counts of first-degree murder.

In June 2016, three months after the murder, Dr. Han, his wife's heir attorney, and the Santa Barbara Public Trust attorney went to Han's house to discuss the issue of inheritance.

Until the end of June 2018, the estate distribution was over, most of which were real estate, business, bank deposits and pensions. The total property was only a few million yuan, not the rumored 20 million.

In November 2021, defendant Harbush was convicted by a jury of three counts of murder, including an aggravated charge of murder for financial gain, and faces a possible sentence of three life sentences without parole.

Before being convicted, Harbus made a novel, bizarre account of the entire case in court.

After the jury found guilty on three counts of murder, the case was originally scheduled to be announced by a judge on February 28, 2022, but Harbush made a post-verdict request, which delayed the sentencing.
