A woman in her 70s died after falling into a burning fire in Olmet-et-Villecun, a town in Hérault about sixty kilometers northwest of Montpellier.

For some unknown reason, she would have approached too close to the fire, before slipping and falling into it.

Very seriously burned all over her body, she did not survive her injuries, despite the intervention of the firefighters.

Transported to the intensive care unit of the University Hospital of Montpellier, she died there.
