Marchenko also turned to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to help in the release of the deputy.

British mercenary Aiden Eslin, who had previously surrendered in Mariupol, told during interrogation why he was disappointed in the Kiev regime.

The military of Russia and the DPR also captured another British citizen, Sean Pinner, who had previously fought in eight hot spots.
