Earlier, a representative of the US department in a commentary to AFP announced the US intention to boycott G20 meetings if Russia participates.
American leader Joe Biden had previously proposed excluding Russia from the G20.
But he acknowledged that this decision is up to the G20 countries.
The press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, said that the G20 format is important, but under the current conditions, exclusion from it would be “not fatal” for Russia.
