The circle is complete for the Catalan, who started in Barcelona in 1999, before winning this tournament in 2004.
He put an end to a rich career of twelve trophies (including eleven on clay), during which he never managed to exceed the quarter-finals in Grand Slam, reaching this stage seven times in singles.
