Psaki did not rule out adding Russia to the US list of "sponsors of terrorism"

“We have the authority, but I would not make predictions just yet,” she said at the briefing.

Psaki said that the US State Department has the authority to include in this list, which must determine "that the government of the country supported acts of terrorism."

According to her, three countries currently appear on the list: North Korea, Iran and Sudan.

Earlier, The Washington Post published the text of US sanctions proposals, according to which any armed formations associated with or controlled by the LPR or DPR "should be equated with foreign terrorist organizations."

In addition, the new draft US sanctions provide for the recognition of Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
