Abramovich arrives in Kyiv to resume peace talks between Russia and Ukraine

Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has arrived in Kyiv to resume peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, which were halted after evidence emerged of Russia's atrocities against civilians, according to Bloomberg.

The agency stated that Abramovich met with Ukrainian negotiators to discuss ways to revive negotiations.

The Russian billionaire, who has long-standing ties to President Vladimir Putin, has been an informal mediator since the war began, when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked him to participate.

Abramovich has become a prime target of officials in the United States and Europe who have vowed to seize yachts, planes and other assets belonging to Russian oligarchs as a means of putting pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin over his invasion of Ukraine.
