China News Service, April 18. According to the US "World Journal" report, Christy's family, a Chinese-American resident of Temecula, South California Riverside County, traveled in an RV during the spring break.

During the 17-day trip, a family of five drove nearly 3,000 miles, passing through many national parks, and saw the fleeting double rainbow and fossils hundreds of millions of years ago.

Veteran insurance broker Christy's family of three, two boys aged five and eight, and a girl aged three, set out from Riverside on March 18.

"The RV tour is very convenient for our big family. There is no need to change hotels frequently along the way, and there is no epidemic worry. I went to five places in 17 days, which is very enjoyable."

Christy's itinerary includes Saguaro National Park, Petrified Forest National Park, Sedona, Page, Zion National Park and more What impressed them most was seeing the fleeting double rainbow.

That day, the family lived in an RV camp in Page. The sun was shining in the afternoon, and the sun began to rain. My son was the first to notice a double rainbow suddenly appeared in the sky. Christy recalled that the beauty of nature at that time was particularly amazing, "The color arrangement of the double rainbow On the contrary, one end of the rainbow fell in the mountains and forests in the distance, and the mountains were dyed colorful. Children said that the end of the rainbow must be where the dwarf elf buried the gold. But 10 minutes soon disappeared, it was really fleeting.”

In addition to seeing the double rainbow, the family also saw a spectacular sky with half blue sky and white clouds and half cloudy.

Christy said, "Page's weather was so weird, when we first entered Horseshoe Bend, the sun was so hot that my neck hurt, and after playing for a while, there was a gust of wind that made people unsteady, and then it started to rain, and when we got back to camp, it started to rain. , I can see half the clear sky and half the dark clouds, the sky is very spectacular.” The Fossil Forest National Park also amazed the children, Christy said, “These fossils hundreds of millions of years ago, when seen from a distance, they look like tree trunks falling on each other. On the ground, only when I looked closely, I found that they were all crystal-like fossils, and the colors were very magical."

Christy also shared a little story about refueling during the trip, she said that the gas price in California was 5.9 yuan a gallon that day, "At that time, the gas price in Arizona was 4.5 yuan, we wanted to drive there and refuel, but we didn't expect it to be far away from the destination. 10 minutes later, the gas tank was on and the alarm went off, and I had to add the most expensive gas in California at $6.99 a gallon, a difference of $2.50 a full gallon."

The 17-day RV trip has yielded a lot along the way. Christy believes that children learn to grow during the trip, and she sees a lot of surprises. “One day, when the children were playing in the creek in the Sedona camp, my three-year-old daughter walked In the middle of the stream, I accidentally fell. My husband and I were both on the shore and we were far away. The eight-year-old brother next to him decisively rushed over and hugged his sister out, which was very neat. I was very touched at the time, the child was experiencing these things. It's time to learn to grow."

Christy also said that traveling in an RV is very helpful to promote emotional communication among the family. She said that at home, everyone is in their own room, but when traveling in a RV, the family has to squeeze into a small space to spend a long time together. Family relationships are promoted. "I am usually busy with work, so I don't observe some details of the children, but I will find them one by one during travel. Family relationships have never been closer." (Shao Min)
