China News Agency, Beijing, April 17 (Ma Shuisha) Hao Chun, director of the China Manned Space Engineering Office, said in Beijing on the 17th that the complete success of the Shenzhou 13 mission marks the perfect end of the key technology verification phase of the space station. In 2022 The on-orbit construction of the Chinese space station will be completed, and a total of 6 flight missions are planned, including the launch of the Shenzhou 14 manned spacecraft in June, the launch of the space station Wentian experimental module in July, and the launch of the space station Mengtian experimental module in October.

On the same day, the State Council Information Office of China held a press conference on the progress of the construction of the Chinese space station.

Hao Chun made the above remarks at the press conference.

"The Shenzhou 13 crew has been in orbit for 183 days, setting a record for the longest continuous in-orbit flight time for Chinese astronauts. The complete success of the Shenzhou 13 mission marks the perfect conclusion of the key technology verification phase of the space station." Hao Chun said that the three astronauts are in good health and are recovering from the flight at the China Astronaut Research and Training Center.

He also introduced the progress of the construction of the Chinese space station at the press conference.

Since 2020, China has successfully implemented the first flight of the Long March 5B carrier rocket, the Tianhe core module of the space station, the Shenzhou 12 and Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft, and the Tianzhou 2 and Tianzhou 3 cargo spacecraft. The 6 flight missions were all successful, and the mission objectives of the key technology verification stage were successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the implementation of the tasks in the space station construction stage.

Talking about the achievements of the six missions, Hao Chun said that the key technologies for the construction of the space station have comprehensively broken through, including life and work support technology for astronauts staying in orbit for a long time, regenerative environmental control and life support technology, and large-scale flexible battery wings. A series of technologies such as driveable mechanism technology, robotic arm auxiliary module transposition technology, and astronaut teleoperation rendezvous and docking have all made breakthroughs, overcoming technical difficulties for the subsequent space station construction.

"According to the mission arrangement, we will complete the on-orbit construction of the Chinese space station in 2022, and plan to carry out 6 flight missions." Hao Chun said that the 6 missions are the launch of the Tianzhou-4 cargo spacecraft in May; the launch of Shenzhou in June The crew of the No. 14 manned spacecraft and the Shenzhou No. 14 manned spacecraft are also composed of 3 astronauts, who will also stay in orbit for 6 months; the space station Wentian experimental module will be launched in July; the space station dream will be launched in October day experiment cabin.

He said that the three modules of the space station will form a "T" basic configuration to complete the on-orbit construction of the Chinese space station. Later, the Tianzhou-5 cargo spacecraft and the Shenzhou-15 manned spacecraft will be launched.

Among them, the flight crew of the Shenzhou 15 manned spacecraft is also composed of 3 astronauts. These 3 astronauts will work and live in orbit for 6 months after the rotation of the astronauts in orbit and the astronauts of Shenzhou 14.
