Hao Chun, director of the China Manned Space Engineering Office, introduced that the main goal of the key technology verification stage of the space station is to comprehensively break through the key technologies of the construction and operation of the space station. Key technologies have been comprehensively broken through, and many achievements have been made through these six missions.

It mainly includes the following aspects:

  First, it has completely broken through the key technologies of space station construction.

A specific example, including the life and work support technology of astronauts staying in orbit for a long time, used to be a maximum of one month, but now it is increased to three months or six months, which is still very different. This technology has been fully verified and Breakthroughs also include regenerative environmental control and life support technology, large-scale flexible battery wing drive mechanism technology, as well as a series of technologies such as robotic arm-assisted module transposition technology, and astronaut teleoperation rendezvous and docking. The construction of the space station has overcome technical difficulties.

  Second, the organization and command system of tasks has been improved.

Since entering the space station stage, mission implementation has also entered a high-density stage.

Last year, five missions were carried out in a 6-month period, which brought new challenges to the mission organization.

In order to ensure the smooth organization and implementation of the mission, we have further improved the mission organization and command system, and established the emergency launch mechanism for manned spacecraft and the emergency return search and rescue mechanism for astronauts. The safety of the crew on orbit and the stable operation of the space station.

  Third, a manned spaceflight operation management system with Chinese characteristics has been initially established.

It is very different from the previous intermittent launch and short-term on-orbit operation. After entering the space station stage, the aircraft will run continuously for a long time, and the astronauts will work and live in orbit for a long time, which requires the ground to fully monitor the whole process and state. Handle emergencies.

In order to meet the new requirements, we have researched and formulated a new mode of flight control combining centralized and distributed, and developed a distributed ground control system, which was put into use after the core module of the space station was launched into orbit. It has laid a solid foundation for the long-term on-orbit operation management of the subsequent space station.

  Fourth, high-level space scientific research results and significant comprehensive benefits have been achieved.

Using the space science experimental facilities on the core cabin, scientific experiments with container-free and high microgravity experiments as the main content have been carried out, and a large number of world-class results have been achieved.
