Mali: Olivier Dubois' family requests the opening of an investigation into his abduction
Family, friends, journalists, ex-hostages, and association leaders demand the release of hostage Olivier Dubois kidnapped more than a year ago in Mali.

The French journalist was kidnapped a year ago, in Gao, in northern Mali, by the Support Group for Islam and Muslims, JNIM in its Arabic acronym.
Since then, the journalist's family has been kept out of the investigation and claims to no longer support the "silence of the French authorities".
She asks for the opening of an instruction on her abduction to have access to the file.

Only the opening of a judicial investigation, with the appointment of an investigating judge, will allow access to the procedure
”, explains in a press release published on Saturday master Laurent Bayon, the lawyer for the Dubois family.
He therefore made the request by mail, to the National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office.
Because for the time being it is this body which is responsible for shedding light on the circumstances of the hostage-taking of Olivier Dubois.

But the anti-terrorist prosecutor's office uses methods that confuse the journalist's family.
First there was the search of the phone of the companion of Olivier Dubois, in September 2021. And this week, that of the home of the parents of a journalist, friend of the hostage.
