The Israeli Prime Minister said that he freed his forces on the Temple Mount to carry out every operation that would achieve security for the Israelis, while King Abdullah II of Jordan called on Israel to stop provocation and escalation in the precincts of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

While the Palestinian Authority demanded an American intervention to compel Israel to stop the escalation, the resistance factions vowed to triumph over the holy sites and respond to the violations committed by the occupation.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said today, Sunday, that he freed the Israeli security forces on the Temple Mount, which he called "the Temple Mount", to carry out every operation that would achieve security for Israeli citizens, as he put it.

In a statement, which followed an assessment session on the situation in the Haram al-Sharif on Sunday morning, Bennett called for making every possible effort to ensure freedom of worship for all religions to celebrate their religious occasions in Jerusalem.

He announced that he had instructed to reinforce the security of Israeli citizens and buses transporting Israelis to pray at the Western Wall of Al-Aqsa (Al-Buraq Wall, known to the Israelis as the “Western Wall”).

In turn, the Israeli Minister of Internal Security, Omer Bar-Lev, threatened that the Israeli police would hit hard anyone who dares to attack Israeli citizens, as he put it.

He added that the Israeli authorities view with extreme gravity every breach of public order, as well as throwing stones at buses in Jerusalem and injuring travelers.

Bar-Lev warned that anyone who would use terrorism against Israeli citizens would be dealt with severely, firmly and forcefully, adding that his ministry would not allow the infringement of freedom of worship.

The warnings of the Israeli Minister of Internal Security came after a bus was thrown with stones in occupied East Jerusalem, and religious Jews claimed that they were subjected to violence by Palestinians inside the Old City on Sunday morning.

Intrusion and arrest

The occupation forces withdrew from the Temple Mount, hours after providing protection to groups of settlers who stormed the Temple Mount in the form of groups.

The occupation carried out arrests inside and around the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and a number of Palestinians were injured in the Qibli Mosque and at the gates of the Temple Mount as a result of the Israeli forces’ attacks.

And the French news agency reported that 19 Palestinians and 7 Israelis were wounded during clashes in and around Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.

Since the dawn of last Friday, the Palestinian territories have witnessed an outcry, in response to the storming of the occupied Al-Aqsa Mosque by the occupation soldiers and their implementation of a campaign of arrests and attacks against Palestinian youths.

The storming operation resulted in the injury of more than 150 Palestinians and the arrest of hundreds.

Later, the occupation released many detainees and deported them from occupied Jerusalem.

provocation and escalation

Today, Sunday, King Abdullah II of Jordan called on Israel to respect the historical and legal situation in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to stop its illegal and provocative measures.

According to a statement from the Royal Court, King Abdullah II directed the government to continue its regional and international contacts and efforts to stop the escalatory Israeli steps, and to formulate a pressing and influential international position to achieve this.

He said that maintaining the comprehensive calm requires Israel to respect the historical and legal situation in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to find a real political horizon that guarantees the fulfillment of all the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people on the basis of the two-state solution.

He pointed out that protecting Jerusalem and its holy sites will remain a Jordanian priority, directing the government to continue to devote all necessary capabilities to preserve it, the existing historical and legal situation, and its Arab, Islamic and Christian identity.

He stressed the need for Israel to respect the historical and legal situation in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to stop all illegal and provocative measures that violate this situation, and push towards further aggravation.

Today, Sunday, the Palestinian presidency held the Israeli government fully responsible for the escalation in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and called on the US administration to break its silence and "stop this aggression that will ignite the entire region."

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the US administration to break its silence and intervene to stop the Israeli escalation.

Resistance vows

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) also blamed the occupation for "the repercussions of allowing settlers to storm and desecrate the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque."

The movement added that the continuation of the attack on the detainees and worshipers and on the sanctity of time and place "will backfire on the occupation and its settlers."

While the Islamic Jihad movement considered that the renewed attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque "exposes the intention of the occupation to mislead, to pass its terrorist plans," and added that "the serious violations and attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque are pushing towards a comprehensive confrontation."

The Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) blamed the international community and the United States for the continued Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said that the people and the resistance "will not remain silent for much about the violations of the occupation in Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque."
