A thousand young Basque "independence and socialists" have demanded in the streets of

Gernika

the

"amnesty" for all ETA prisoners during the celebration of an alternative Aberri Eguna to the one called by EH Bildu in Pamplona.

The

abertzales

convened by the

Jardun

coordinator have walked the streets of the Biscayan town behind a banner that claimed the "liberation of the Basque working people".

Jardun is part of the new critical organizations with the strategy of the Abertzale Left led by Arnaldo Otegi.

The coordinator of EH Bildu has been the great absentee of the act organized in Pamplona by the coalition in which they have defended the belonging of Navarra in the future "Basque Republic".

Jardun has gathered, according to his own estimates, a thousand followers in the celebration of the Aberri Eguna in Gernika.

The supporters of this coordinator created in the summer of 2020 have walked the streets of the municipality and participated in a political act with the intervention of three spokespersons in addition to displaying a huge banner with the slogan "Euskal Herriak amistía" (Amnesty of the Basques, in Basque).

Also during the demonstration, which took place without incident, the participants called in Basque for the release of all ETA prisoners and denounced that "without their release there is no peace".

Jardun's spokesmen, who have read internationalist solidarity communiqués, have also reminded the ETA member who fled to

Venezuela

, Asier Guridi, who for twenty days has declared a hunger strike in front of the Spanish Embassy in Caracas (Venezuela) to demand a passport. Spanish.

Guridi fled to the South American country in 2001 but was arrested by the Venezuelan police in 2013 to, after releasing him, leave him without any type of official identification.

Guridi is not part of the official group of prisoners aligned with the Abertzale Left and sources close to him have publicly denounced representatives of EH Bildu such as the former senator and lawyer for ETA prisoners Iñaki Goioaga.

The demonstration and political act in Jardun took place hours after EH Bildu flooded the center of

Pamplona

with ikurriñas and Navarrese flags .

The spokeswoman in the Parliament of Navarra Bakartxo Ruiz has replaced Arnaldo Otegi as speaker before almost 10,000 people, according to calculations made by the Delegation of the Government of Spain in Pamplona.

EH Bildu has also had the support of representatives from ERC, BNG, CUP, Junts per Cat, Esquerra Valenciana, Més Mallorca and Més Menorca.

Ruiz has used the massive presence of ikurriñas to warn the PP and the Unión del Pueblo Navarro (UPN) that "if they didn't want a cup, then a cup and a half" since both parties had criticized Pamplona being chosen to celebrate the Aberri Eguna.

The abertzale spokeswoman has pushed her coalition partners to work "day by day" to achieve "the first Basque Republic" in an intervention in Basque and Spanish with historical references to the battle of

Amaiur

in 1512.

The president of UPN Javier Esparza has warned EH Bildu not to "dream, because Navarra will never be part of a Basque republic, of any independent Basque state, Euskal Herria or whatever you want to call an entity that has never existed or will exist ".

The Navarrese regionalist leader has recalled that in 2022 it will be 40 years since the Improvement of the Charter.

"Bildu and the Basque independence movement are against the Amelioration because it supposes the historical, political and institutional recognition of a singular and provincial Navarra, far from the Basque sovereignist project", he denounced hours after the Basque independence act in Pamplona.
