Five workers of the plant in Buryatia died due to gas poisoning

143 of the Criminal Code (violation of labor protection requirements resulting in the death of two or more persons).

“According to the investigation, on the territory of the plant, in the premises of one of the treatment tanks with industrial effluents, a concentration of an unknown gas arose, the inhalation of which caused the death of five employees of the enterprise who were inside,” the UK said.

Another woman was able to leave the premises on her own, but she needed medical attention.

In February, investigators opened a criminal case into the death of four children and a woman, allegedly as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning in the Seversky district of the Krasnodar Territory.
