An exhibition of haiku and drawings drawn by Ukrainians with a connection to Japan with a wish for peace is being held at a temple in Kyoto City from the 17th.

At the venue, Hogon-in Temple in Yamashina Ward, Kyoto City, about 60 haiku poems and drawings drawn by six people, including those who have studied abroad in Ukraine and Japanese teachers, are on display.

Of these, the haiku written by a Japanese teacher living in a city in the central eastern part of Ukraine is "Snow Sunny and Siren Ukraine", which expresses anxiety as Russia's military invasion continues. increase.



Also, in the paintings drawn by a female art teacher living in a southern city, white pigeons are flapping their wings, and many words "peace" are written in the hope that the situation will be resolved as soon as possible.

The work will be exhibited at Hogon-in Temple in Kyoto City for the time being, without setting a deadline.
