The Democratic Party pointed out that it is not a responsible attitude for the president, who should manage the organization so that the prosecution is faithful to his duties during the prosecution reform process, in response to Prosecutor General Kim Oh-soo's resignation in protest against the proposal of a bill to separate the prosecution's investigative powers.

Spokesperson Shin Hyun-young said at a briefing that it was unfortunate for both our society and the prosecution that the president, who had a guaranteed term, submitted his resignation mid-term.

Spokesperson Shin insisted that the prosecution should have been managed in that direction, rather than asking for a sense of responsibility for the ongoing prosecution reform, hoping that there would be no negligence in work.

He added that the National Assembly will proceed with legislation to improve the criminal justice system in the future.
