Yang Hong introduced at the meeting that the Wentian experimental module is equipped with the same astronaut living facilities as the core module, including 3 sleeping areas, 1 sanitary area, kitchen and other facilities, which can support two manned spacecraft together with the core module. The life of 6 astronauts during the rotation period; a small robotic arm is configured, which can be used alone or in combination with the large robotic arm in the core module to jointly complete the tasks of astronauts leaving the cabin, taking care of extravehicular facilities, and patrolling; also The astronaut exit airlock is equipped. After the space station is completed, the airlock will be used as the main exiting airlock for astronauts, and the node cabin of the core cabin is used for other functions, only as a backup.

  He said that the Wentian experimental cabin also has a backup section for the core cabin to manage and control the assembly.

"That is to say, when the function of the core module platform fails, it can be switched to the Wentian experimental module to exercise the control and management functions of the combination, which can improve the reliability of the space station as a whole."

  Yang Hong said that the Mengtian experimental cabin is equipped with a cargo airlock and an outboard deployment test platform.

In the future, the scientific test equipment that needs to be installed outside the cabin can be transported to the space station through a cargo spacecraft, and then the load will be sent to the outside of the cabin through the cargo airlock, and the robotic arm or astronaut will install it on the platform outside the cabin. Realize the continuous update of the extravehicular test project.

  Yang Hong said that at present, the development of the Wentian and Mengtian experimental modules on the ground is progressing smoothly.

The Wentian experimental cabin has completed the integrated assembly, testing and large-scale testing of the entire cabin in Tianjin, and is ready to go; the Mengtian experimental cabin has now completed the corresponding integrated assembly and test work in Tianjin, and is conducting ground tests, which will be completed in the future. The whole cabin thermal test, regression test and other tests are progressing as planned.

  Zhong Hongen, deputy chief designer of China's manned space engineering space application system, pointed out that the core module has been in orbit for nearly a year, and the newly developed payload of the space application system is stable and in good condition in orbit, and the interface with related systems is coordinated and matched. A large number of scientific experimental data and samples have been obtained, and fruitful results have been achieved.

Next, the space application system will carry out in-depth containerless material science experiments and high microgravity science experiments in the core cabin mission. Complete construction tasks as planned.
