Zelensky reveals the losses of the Ukrainian army

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced that the Ukrainian army lost between 2.5 thousand and 3 thousand soldiers during the battles with the Russian forces.

"Based on the numbers we have, we think we lost between 2.5 thousand and 3 thousand," Zelensky said in a statement to the American channel "CNN", extracts of which were broadcast on Friday.

He added, "We have 10,000 wounded, and it is difficult to say how many of them will survive."

This is the first official announcement of the Ukrainian army's losses since March 12, when 1,300 people were killed in the ranks of the Ukrainian military.

It is noteworthy that the Russian military operation in Ukraine has been going on since February 24.

Moscow announced the achievement of the tasks of the first phase of the operation, and the launch of the second phase of it.
