The last Hero of the Soviet Union in the Nizhny Novgorod region Kuznetsov died

“The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin expressed his condolences in connection with the death of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Kuznetsov.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region, he was the last Hero of the Soviet Union, ”the message says.

It is noted that on June 19 Kuznetsov was supposed to turn 100 years old. 

Earlier, the Foreign Intelligence Service announced the death of an outstanding intelligence officer, Hero of the Soviet Union Mikhail Vasenkov.
