The head of the Russian Navy, Admiral

Nikolai Yevmenov

, held a meeting with members of the Moskva cruiser crew on Saturday.

The warship, the jewel of the Black Sea fleet, was sunk by two Neptune missiles, according to Ukraine, while Russia denies this and claims that the catastrophe was due to an internal ammunition explosion.

Admiral Yevmenov announced that the sailors will continue to serve in the Navy, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed on Saturday.

The same department released a video showing Yevmenov and two other officers attending the

parade of 100 sailors,

at an unspecified location.

The images captured him having a conversation with one of the soldiers.

Russia has assured that all 500 sailors who were part of the crew of its flagship were

rescued after the explosion

, which took place on Wednesday night.

For its part, Ukrainian official sources have stated that some of the crew died, although they have not provided evidence of their statements.
