“The body of Andrey Sazonov, a resident of Novgorod, born in 1970, was found today around 15:00 in the gorge of the Gagripsh River, at an altitude of about 900 meters above sea level,” the statement said.

Assistance to the rescuers was provided by local residents, the search was "complicated by bad weather," the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted.

“In the search area on Mamzyshkha, snow fell 2 meters high. According to the preliminary version, Andrei Sazonov could have died from hypothermia,” the agency said.

Earlier, as a result of the fall of tourists in the upper reaches of the Munku-Sardyk mountain in Buryatia, one person died and another was injured.
