During a dolphin performance at an aquarium in Miami, USA, a dolphin attacked its trainer.

On the 13th local time, local media such as WSVN and Miami CBS reported that a dolphin attacked the trainer during the Miami Aquarium 'Flipper Dolphin Show'.

Last weekend, the 'Flipper Dolphin Show' was held at the Miami Aquarium.

At that time, a dolphin named 'Sundance' appeared in the performance and worked with the trainer, but about 10 minutes after the performance, a dolphin attacked the trainer.

The trainer, who was acting in the middle of the performance hall consisting of a swimming pool, jumped out of the water at the sudden attack of a dolphin, and the audience was shocked by the unexpected sight.

"It looked like a dolphin and the trainer collided," Shannon Carpenter, who captured the tamer being attacked, said at the time. .

The trainer, who managed to swim from the arena, sat down on his knees and did not leave his seat until the performance was over.

Eventually, the Miami Aquarium announced in a statement that the incident was "an incident that occurred during a performance".

An aquarium official said, "At a performance last weekend, the trainer scratched a dolphin with his fingernail while demonstrating a practice move.

"There is no visible trauma, but we will continue to monitor closely and ensure the most appropriate treatment for the dolphin and its trainer," he said.

He promised, "This is the first time an accident has occurred during a performance, so I will check the performance procedures to eliminate the possibility of an accident in the future."

PETA, an animal group that has been working for years to return the dolphins in the aquarium to nature, also issued a statement.

PETA General Counsel Jared Goodman said in a statement that "we hope to bring the dolphins to the sanctuary as soon as possible to stop exploitation of them." urged.

Meanwhile, the Miami Aquarium, which changed owners earlier this month, has been granted an aquarium license from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) on the condition that it will not exhibit 'Lolita', a killer whale that has been performing for 50 years.
