Over the years, the US and its allies have seized and frozen the assets of certain countries. This applies to Libya, Venezuela, Syria, Afghanistan and a number of other states. Now Washington has declared that it is not going to return the seized assets to Russian businessmen. “The United States has proven over and over again that when it promises to defend ‘freedom and democracy’ in any country in the world, it is actually going to seize and subjugate all its wealth,” notes RT correspondent Rachel Blevins.
