The Wall Street Journal writes about it.

As noted, the real cause of inflation was the monetary policy of Washington.

In particular, we are talking about huge spending on anti-coronavirus measures, as well as the actions of the US Federal Reserve, which continued to maintain negative key rates even long after the end of the coronavirus recession.

As the newspaper notes, a certain proportion of inflation can indeed be attributed to the increase in energy prices caused by the situation in Ukraine.

However, it is emphasized that in the US, the cost of products not affected by energy and supply chain disruptions has also increased.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the refusal of a number of Western countries to cooperate with Russia hit the Americans and Europeans themselves.

American leader Joe Biden said that inflation in the United States in March was provoked by 70% of the Russian military special operation in Ukraine.

He also linked 40-year-high inflation in the United States to the sanctions imposed on Russia.

Vladimir Putin said that the rise in prices for petroleum products in the United States is the fault of the American authorities, and they are trying to blame it on Russia.
