He is the oldest man to stand on a plane in flight!

The feat took place this Saturday at the Gloucestershire County Airport, in the United Kingdom, and is due to the age of the challenger: 95 years old.

On the video posted by the British press agency SWNS and relayed by

Le Progrès

, we indeed see Ivor Button, standing on a plane, attached by a harness soaring into the air.

The flight lasted one hour and twenty minutes.

The world record was validated after the aircraft reached Derry airport in Northern Ireland.

Before Ivor Button, the wing walking record holder was Tom Lackey.

His title dated back to 2013, when he was 93 years old.

"I was not afraid, I was more afraid of being cold"

Not intimidated for a penny by this unusual performance, Ivor Button would have replied after the flight: “I was not afraid, I was more afraid of being cold.

It was in 1932, when he was only 6 years old, that this grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren began to take an interest in the thrills of standing flight.

For Ivor Button, this feat is part of a fundraising initiative for medical research.

Funds intended for the association Ataxia UK which helps people with ataxia, degenerative diseases from which several members of his family are affected.
