“France has decided to allocate €2.2 million to support the activities of the OPCW,” the French Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.

The ministry clarified that €1 million of this amount will be directed to the activities of the organization related to Syria, €500,000 will be allocated to the implementation of measures to help and protect Ukraine, and €700,000 from the French contribution will go to support the work of the OPCW in various fields .

Earlier, Russian Permanent Representative to the OPCW Alexander Shulgin announced the growing threat of provocations with chemical weapons in Ukraine.
