The Democratic Party has proposed the so-called 'completely deprived of the prosecution's investigative powers, the prosecution's investigation-separation of the right to indictment'.

On the morning of the 15th, senior floor representative Park Chan-dae and floor spokesperson Oh Young-hwan proposed amendments to the Prosecutor's Office Act and the Criminal Procedure Act, respectively, to the Agenda Division of the National Assembly.

The amendment includes the separation of the six major crime investigation powers granted to the prosecution.

There is also a provision for a grace period of 3 months from the date of promulgation of the law to enforcement.

The Democratic Party explained, "We have changed the case so that the police can conduct complementary investigations rather than direct investigations even after sending the case or sending the records as the police investigated."

The Democratic Party, which decided to push for the 'examination and overhaul' bill as its party argument at the General Assembly of Policy Councilors on the 12th, is aiming to process it in the National Assembly this April.
