The bodies of two women and a "young child" were discovered Friday in an apartment in Amiens, and a homicide investigation has been opened.

"Two knives possibly bearing traces of blood were discovered. Other traces of blood near one of the bodies were visible," the prosecution said in a statement.

“A public prosecutor, the judicial police, the judicial identity (technical and scientific police) and a forensic doctor” had been dispatched to the scene at midday and the sector cordoned off.

The victims were discovered at the end of the morning by the firefighters, warned by a relative who was worried about not having an answer to his calls, according to the firefighters.

The emergency services had to enter the apartment, located on the first floor of a building in a peripheral and popular area of ​​Amiens, through a window.

It was, according to the prosecution, the home of one of the victims, born in 1993. 

The victim's companion was in a car accident

The companion, born in 1973, of this woman was the victim Thursday of a road accident, a collision with a heavy weight, and is hospitalized in Amiens, specified the prosecutor.

His state of health was described as "serious" by the prosecution and "he cannot be heard for the moment".
