A hearing is expected to be held on the 4th of next month to hear opinions about the revocation of the doctor's license of Jo Min, the daughter of former Justice Minister Cho Kuk.

An official from the National Assembly's Health and Welfare Committee said that the Ministry of Health and Welfare, which started the procedure for revoking Jo Min's doctor's license, is preparing a plan to hold a hearing on the 4th of next month.

Previously, Pusan National University held a faculty meeting on the 5th and decided to cancel Cho's admission to the medical school and notified the Ministry of Education.

Pusan National University presented the university's school regulations, the 2015 admission guidelines for new medical students at the time, and the Basic Administrative Law as the basis for the decision to cancel admission.

On the 7th, two days later, the Ministry of Education again notified the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the ministry in charge of doctor licensing, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare has since adjusted the hearing schedule for Mr. Cho.

The Administrative Procedure Act stipulates that the parties are notified in advance of the relevant information prior to disposition and the parties' opinions are to be heard.

Cho filed an application for suspension of execution to the court to stop the effect of the decision to cancel Pusan National University's admissions, but it is known that the Ministry of Health and Welfare is planning to proceed with the license revocation procedure regardless of this.

If admission to the medical school becomes invalid, the license may be revoked by the Ministry of Health and Welfare because the requirements for obtaining a medical license will not be met.

It is reported that the Ministry of Health and Welfare is planning to notify Mr. Cho of the results of the disposition on the 11th of the following month, a week after holding a hearing on the 4th of the next month.
