It has been confirmed that Justice Minister candidate Han Dong-hoon owned Samsung Electronics shares in his child's name when the Samsung investigation was conducted in the past.

This is the details of a candidate's stock sale report published in the Official Gazette in August 2019.

It is written that a candidate who was then the anti-corruption and violent division head of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office sold 800 shares of Samsung Electronics in his child's name for 34 million won on August 13 of that year.

One candidate was called the 'Samsung Grim Reaper' when he indicted Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong at the time of the Special Prosecutor's Office in 2017 on charges of bribery, etc.

Regarding this, a candidate's side said, "In 2006, my grandmother bought her newborn granddaughter 9 million won worth of money to use for college tuition." It was sold at the time because it had to undergo a relevance review, sell, or buy a blank slate."

Regarding what he kept during the investigation of Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong in 2017, he explained, "It would have been a problem if we had not sold it and sold it even in a situation where the stock price is expected to fall due to the Samsung investigation."

It seems that the issue of past history of relatives of candidates who had stock holdings will also be on the cutting edge of the National Assembly personnel hearings.

A candidate's brother-in-law, Jin-mo, was indicted in 2018 for forcibly molesting a junior prosecutor at a dinner party in 2015, when he was an incumbent prosecutor, and was sentenced to 10 months in prison.

The prosecution requested an arrest warrant twice, but it was dismissed and indicted without detention.

When asked about whether he was involved in the prosecution without detention, one candidate said, "I have never been involved in the process of handling the case, including the investigation and trial of my brother-in-law."
