“We note that a few days earlier, the parliament adopted another, no less shameful law introducing total censorship and prohibiting the screening of Russian and Soviet films, in particular, films about the Great Patriotic War,” the party said.

The Socialist Party does not recognize this law as legitimate, they said.

“We will challenge the adoption of this law in all Moldovan and international judicial instances, and impede its implementation by all legal means,” the party added.

On April 14, in Moldova, in the third final reading, they approved a bill banning the wearing and storage of St. George ribbons, as well as the use of V and Z symbols.

Senator Olga Kovitidi, in a conversation with RT, noted that the Moldovan authorities "betray historical traditions" with this decision.
