Russia imposes sanctions on 398 members of the US House of Representatives

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the imposition of sanctions on 398 members of the US House of Representatives, in response to US sanctions against members of the Russian State Duma.

The ministry said in a statement that: In response to the wave of anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the administration of US President Joe Biden on March 24 against 328 deputies in the Russian State Duma, taking into account the inclusion of other Russian deputies on the US "black list", it was Imposing (parallel) restrictions on 398 members of the US House of Representatives.

It added that those people, including leaders and chairs of US House of Representatives committees who are now on Russia's "ban list," along with other current lawmakers on the list such as Speaker Nancy Pelosi, will be barred from entering Russian territory, on the basis of reciprocity.
