“The Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor has registered the world’s first isothermal test AmpliSens SC2-IT, aimed at simultaneously detecting two different parts of the SARS-CoV-2 virus genome,” the service’s website says.
It is noted that the test not only provides high detection of the virus, but also significantly reduces the likelihood of obtaining a false negative result.
Also, Rospotrebnadzor added that the development will reduce the waiting time for the result from one and a half hours to 20-25 minutes.
Earlier, the head of the scientific group for the development of new diagnostic methods based on sequencing technologies of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, Kamil Khafizov, said that the share of stealth omicron exceeded 90% of all detected cases of coronavirus in Russia.
