“There is reason to believe that in the near future the activity of criminals associated with the dissemination of false warnings about terrorist attacks will continue to grow.
During the monitoring of the Internet, it was established that the armed forces of Ukraine have begun to create call centers specifically designed for telephone terrorism on the territory of our country," the report says.
It is clarified that for work in these call centers they are looking for people who know the Russian language and have a “desire to take revenge on Russia.”
The department noted that in the month since the beginning of the special operation, the number of fakes about terrorist attacks in Russia has more than tripled, to 2,172.
Earlier, Gazinformservice experts said that Russians received three times fewer fraudulent calls in March compared to February.
Experts suggest that this is the most likely reason for this is "the possible destruction of underground call centers in the course of a special operation and the difficulty of buying Russian telephone numbers from the territory of Ukraine."
