According to the Investigative Committee, on March 22, several Russian servicemen were fired upon by Ukrainian security forces and captured in the Zaporozhye region.

After that, they were handed over to the SBU officers, who held them illegally for ten days.

The Investigative Committee reported that physical violence and torture were systematically used against Russians in order to force them to give false explanations about the actual conditions of illegal detention in the premises of the SBU, as well as about the progress of a special military operation.

The report also says that two more groups of Russian servicemen were captured in the Nikolaev region on March 2 and 5.

“For several days, they were held by representatives of the SBU, who used physical and psychological violence against them in order to force them to voice false information about the events,” the Investigative Committee said.

The investigation establishes the Ukrainian military and SBU officers involved in the attack and torture of the Russian military.
