In total, Västra Götaland has received just over 900 million from the state to strengthen women's healthcare over the past five years.

Of that, only around 200 million have actually been reported to SKR.

It looks very different in the country: regions like Gotland report close to every krona they have received, but for example the Sörmland region does not say how they used a single percent.

Pär Lundqvist (L) is a regional councilor and responsible for healthcare issues in the regional board, which distributes the state subsidy to hospitals around the county.

- We have followed the rules that SKR requests.

They want to know what we have done for efforts and we have reported that.

Risks with too many details

Pär Lundqvist (L) nevertheless emphasizes that the accounting requirements have been tightened in recent years and believes that the accounts will be more detailed in the future.

But he sees risks in requiring detailed accounts.

- It can be a burden for the hospitals with so much administrative work, he says.

See in the clip how Pär Lundqvist makes sure that the maternity billion has actually reached the maternity wards.
