As Russia's military invasion continued, Assistant Prime Minister Nakatani, who is in charge of international human rights issues, told Ukraine's Ambassador to Japan Korsunsky that he would continue to provide the necessary support as a united government.

On the afternoon of the 14th, Assistant Prime Minister Nakatani met with Ukraine's Ambassador to Japan, Sergiy Korsunsky, and exchanged views on the response to the military invasion by Russia.



In this, Assistant Minister Nakatani explained that he had previously visited Poland with Foreign Minister Hayashi and accepted refugees from Ukraine, and expressed his intention to continue to provide necessary support as a united government.



In response, Ambassador Korsunsky thanked Japan for its efforts so far and expressed its hope for further support.
