Fairly sunny weather around the Mediterranean

From Brittany and the Belgian border to the Pays de Loire, as well as from Auvergne to Midi-Pyrénées, the atmosphere will be very gray in the early morning with many low clouds, sometimes lined with fog.

This grayness will dissipate very slowly and will sometimes persist until late morning.

From midday, while near the Channel and the Ocean the low clouds will remain compact, inland the sky will become more changeable, alternating between sunny spells and cloudy periods.

But on the relief of the Vosges, the Jura, the Massif Central and the Pyrenees, the clouds will tend to develop, until they become threatening.

They will end up giving showers, sometimes thunderstorms, especially from the Vosges to the Jura and the Massif Central.

On the other hand, in the plains, the sunny periods will be more and more durable over the afternoon.

The Mediterranean rim will keep rather sunny weather despite a cloudy sky, especially in Corsica.

Up to 25 degrees in Languedoc and Provence

In terms of temperatures, the minimums will be between 5 and 9 degrees in Brittany and Pays-de-la-Loire on the Belgian border, between 6 and 12 degrees in the rest of the country.

The maximums will not exceed 13 to 18 degrees on the Channel coasts, 15 to 20 degrees on the Atlantic coast, while they will reach 18 to 22 degrees everywhere else in the country, locally 23 or 24 degrees in the south, and even 25 degrees in Languedoc and Provence.
