According to him, such laws "without any doubt, are very important and relevant."

“We are very serious about not giving anyone a chance to distort national history, especially everything related to the Great Patriotic War and the mass heroism that our grandfathers committed,” Shkhagoshev concluded.

Earlier, the Federation Council approved a bill on fines for citizens and legal entities for publicly identifying the role of the USSR and Nazi Germany in World War II, as well as for denying the decisive role of the Soviet people in the defeat of Nazi Germany.
