As stated in the message on the website of the head office, residents of the region reported that they were receiving calls from unknown numbers not registered in Russia.
According to them, the callers introduce themselves as employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and report that “allegedly, a“ red ”level of danger will be introduced soon, they recommend preparing a supply of water and not leaving the house.”
“The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Belgorod Region reports: this information is not true and is a fake,” the head office noted.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that the purpose of the fake is to sow panic among the population, and recommended that only information posted on the official resources of federal and regional authorities be trusted.
Earlier, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that an increased (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat had been introduced in the region until April 25.
