But this time, it's good.

The 40th edition of Nantes marathon is indeed expected this weekend, announced the organizers.

The legendary race of 42.195 km will start on Sunday at 9:15 am on the island Machinery.

The course, decidedly urban and vehicles, take the runners in the historic downtown core, the Procé park on the banks of the Erdre, Garden plants and on the shores of the island of Nantes.

Some 4,000 participants are expected.

Registrations are closed.

On the other hand, there are still places for the other two individual races accompanying the marathon.

Saturday evening, up to 7,000 bibs are expected for the very popular Elephant Strides (10 km), at night at 9:30 p.m.

Registrations are still possible online until Thursday night.

It is also still possible to register until Thursday evening to run the half-marathon (21 km), Sunday at 8:15 am, specify the organizers.

Some 5,500 bibs are authorized.

These two events will have as their starting and finishing point the Nefs des Machines de l'île.
