After the Hauts-de-France, the president-candidate Emmanuel Macron went to the Grand Est on Tuesday, and in particular to Strasbourg to invest the subject of Europe, central in his program.

His meeting, at the foot of Notre-Dame de Strasbourg cathedral, in the city center, was disrupted at the very beginning by a few dozen opponents.

"You can shout, including 'down with the Republic', which is an aberration in my eyes.

But you can do it, it's the difference between living in France in Strasbourg, and living in Hungary", launched the head of state.

"This election is also a referendum on Europe. The far-right candidate is proposing a nationalist project. And I say it here, a few meters from where François Mitterrand said these words: 'nationalism is war.'"

And Emmanuel Macron the European tries by the same to address the voters of the left.

"I hear the voices that are raised, but the social challenge, that of inequalities, is also at European level that we must conquer. The fight against inequalities is also the fight against tax evasion and the 'Tax optimization".
