As of the end of March, there were more than 2.6 million applications for preferential treatment cards, and more than 200,000 were approved. Applicants from more than ten provinces have already obtained prepared preferential treatment cards.
On the same day, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs held a press conference to introduce the progress of the work of veterans. Zhang Li made the above remarks at the press conference.
She further introduced that on February 28 this year, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs signed the "Cooperation Agreement on Supporting Military and Special Care" with six companies including China UnionPay, PetroChina, China Post, SF Express, Debon Logistics, and China United Airlines.
The 6 companies pledged to provide preferential treatment to holders of preferential treatment certificates in their respective fields.
Among them, the preferential treatment services promised by China UnionPay, PetroChina, China Post, SF Express Group, and Debon Logistics have come into effect on April 8.
Some preferential treatment card holders have already enjoyed exclusive benefits.
It is understood that there are two types of preferential treatment certificates: "Preferential Treatment Certificate for Retired Soldiers of the People's Republic of China" and "Preferential Treatment Certificate for Retired Soldiers of the People's Republic of China", "Preferential Treatment Permit for Martyrs of the People's Republic of China, Soldiers who Died in Service, and Survivors of Soldiers who Died of Sickness", which are respectively for eligible retired soldiers and survivors of martyrs, and those who died in service. Surviving family members of soldiers, survivors of soldiers who died of illness and other special care objects are issued free of charge.
It is known that the function of the preferential treatment card mainly has four aspects, namely "showing honor, identity recognition, treatment implementation, and service management".
The implementation of treatment means that, as a certificate for enjoying relevant preferential treatment, one can enjoy the preferential treatment items listed in the basic preferential treatment catalogue in the "Opinions on Strengthening the Preferential Treatment Work for Military Dependents, Retired Soldiers and Other Subjects of Special Treatment" nationwide with the certificate, and can also enjoy the preferential treatment. Local preferential treatment projects will also gradually be used as regular living allowances, pensions, condolences and other funds distribution channels.
Regarding the preferential treatment services carried by the preferential treatment card, the first is the preferential treatment service provided by the state for the national cardholders; the second is the services involved in various preferential treatment agreements signed by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the relevant cooperative units; Preferential treatment services for witnesses; Fourth, preferential treatment services provided by all sectors of society.
