On February 2 last year, a man was seriously injured after an assault in an apartment in Luleå.

The beating was carried out with blows, kicks and blows to the head.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries with a fracture with bleeding adjacent to the meninges.

Four men were later convicted of assault.

Three of them to prison for 2 years and 6 months and one of them to prison for one year.

The verdict was appealed to the Court of Appeal, which now acquits three of those convicted of the assault.

The "driver" is the only one convicted

The only person whose sentence is determined is the so-called Driver.

In the judgment, the Court of Appeal writes:

"As for the 'driver', his blood has been found at the crime scene.

According to the Court of Appeal, it appears unlikely that this blood would have been deposited at another time than in connection with the crime in question

.

While waiting for the district court's ruling to become final, he was released - a month later, he was arrested for involvement in the notorious murder at Notviken.

In that case, he was sentenced to three years in prison for protecting criminals.
