Early in the morning on Sunday 13 February, a police patrol was on site at the train station in Luleå to carry out a routine check of passengers on the night train.

According to the police patrol, two young men who got off the train were "very lightly dressed for the season".

The two young men each carried a heavy "boot bag".

Since they did not really look like they were out on a skiing holiday, the police patrol decided to confront the men.

Serious drug offense

After the two men, 18 and 19 years old, according to the police behaved strangely and nervously, it was decided to visit.

The men's bags contained a total of 40 kilos of cannabis, a record seizure.

The two men who are residents of Stockholm were arrested and later arrested on suspicion of a serious drug crime.

They both admit the course of events but partially deny the crime.

The trial will begin at 1 pm on Tuesday.
